Mark’s Work Wearhouse is THE place for Christmas gifts

Mark’s is devoted to providing extraordinary clothing and footwear to Canadians. They define “extraordinary” as products that look, last, protect, feel better and are easier to care for than ordinary clothing and footwear. I only discovered how great Mark’s Work Wearhouse is a few years ago. I mistakenly believed that Mark’s only made work wear. They do make work wear, and they do it very well, but that is not all they make. I begrudgingly followed my husband into a store one day when he needed some new work boots. As he went back to the boot section, I wandered around and discovered some really nice clothes for men and women. I was instantly hooked! The sales definitely helped with my new love for the store.

I still appreciate the quality of the work clothing at Mark’s Work Wearhouse. My husband is an Electrical Apprentice, and he spends a lot of time on construction sites…sometimes in rain or snow, and he needs work clothes that will keep him warm and dry.

He recently was sent a Dakota HYPER-DRI HD3 3-IN-1 Jacket.

He found he needed a different size of overall than he first received, so he took them to the store. Since these were provided to us for review, he did not have a receipt but the tags were still attached. He was able to exchange them for a different size with no difficulties. I love good customer service!

The overalls and coat have kept him dry on some rainy days so far, and he says they are very warm. When I ask him what he thinks about them, he says they are “awesome”. He was in the pouring rain all day last week and stayed completely dry. I am glad to know that he is more comfortable at work. A tired husband who is soaking wet from working in the rain all day, is not a happy husband to be around at the end of the day!

Mark’s knows how to keep you warm and dry when you aren’t at work too. They sent me this Windriver HYPER-DRI HD1 Down Car Coat.

This long winter coat has the fashionable faux fur around the hood and is extra long to help keep you warm. It is also waterproof but I haven’t tested that theory yet. I have tested the warmth though, and I was impressed. I wanted to know just how warm it would be, so I put on a t-shirt and my new coat and walked the kids to school on a cold morning this week. Other than my face, I was not cold at all. I love the cuffs inside of the sleeves and the zippered pockets so I don’t lose my phone or anything else I hide in there. It has inside pockets too. I’m not a winter girl, but I’m looking forward to the next time I have to be out in the snow and cold, because I know I will be warm!
